Bournemouth University (BU) มีนักเรียนประมาณ 18,000 คน และนักเรียนนานาชาติอีก 1,800 คน จากกว่า 130 ประเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณชายฝั่งทางใต้ของประเทศอังกฤษที่มีสภาพอากาศอบอุ่น และทิวทัศน์ที่งดงาม ใช้เวลาเดินทาง 2 ชั่วโมงโดยประมาณจากลอนดอนโดยรถไฟ
